On July 12, New York’s Met Breuer museum prepares to launch “Diane Arbus: In the Beginning,” a look at the master photographer’s early works. The show will focus on photographs Arbus took between 1956 and 1962, which have never been published or previously exhibited. Known for photographing people who lived on society’s margins—denizens of nudist colonies, mental institutions and circus freak shows as well as regular folk who were perceived as oddballs—Arbus’s artistry compelled people to expand their world views. This video provides a highlight reel of the captivating Arbus archive.
