The New Zealand indie band, the Naked and the Famous, released their newest album, Simple Forms, last October. “There’s pain and passion behind this art,” said singer-keyboardist Alisa Xayalith of their new work. To prove that point, the band recently released a track titled “Higher,” a song reportedly inspired by the romantic breakup between Xayalith and her bandmate Thom Powers.
