The Search For New Storytellers For Film, Series and Docs
PROVOKR Productions is searching for the next Stranger Things, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, The Shape of Water, Brokeback Mountain or Paradise Lost. If you think you have what it takes and your story idea is the next Spirit Awards winner all you need to do is send your pitch into thepitch@provokr.com. Your story idea will be entered into a monthly contest for the best Pitch of the Month, and the winners will be published or shown on PROVOKR.com depending on the form of your pitch. PROVOKR Media has a production company, PROVOKR Productions, producing original content for digital, TV, streaming and cable broadcast platforms. We have narrative series, reality series, films and documentaries all in the works. Our team is comprised of former major studio execs, and current producers and screenwriters.
A legal document will be issued to all entries for your protection and ours. You may submit a treatment, which is a multi-page document that tells the story written in prose, or a short form film or video. Some pitches are a combination of visual elements and a written treatment. Some pitches are a single page. Just a tip, the writing team behind Stranger Things pitched the idea for more than 2 years and everyone said no. They added images and everyone suddenly got it and wanted it. The rest is history. So get PROVOKR Productions excited and make sure your idea is easy to grasp immediately.
The winning pitches, if PROVOKR Productions approves, ideally would be shown to the network of producers, filmmakers, screenwriters and distributors we are working with. If there is interest PROVOKR Productions would represent the deal or could produce the idea. Another legal form or offer would be sent to protect you and PROVOKR Productions and to make everything a total win for everyone involved.
