The Wife Between Us
A Binge-worthy Thriller about Lust & Lies
They say there are two stories to every marriage, which is probably why it took two talented writers—Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen—to come up with the concept for the delicious page-turner, The Wife Between Us.
As binge-worthy as The Girl of the Train and Gone Girl, this thriller has so many twists and turns, you can barely keep the story straight, but stay with it till the double-take ending—you’ll be glad you did.
We first meet sweet Nellie, a New York City nursery school teacher living the fun, single life but about to give it all up to be with the man of her dreams. Richard is seemingly perfect: rich, handsome, fit, attentive, maybe too attentive…controlling even? As the story develops, we learn Richard is not at all who he seems…but then again, neither is Nellie.
In the meantime, Nellie is being stalked by her doppelganger, the unbalanced Vanessa, a fashionable, unemployable drunk who is determined to stop Richard’s marriage to Nellie, by any means necessary.
Who’s the crazy one? Who’s hiding a huge secret? But more importantly, who’s going to play these wildly fascinating characters when the movie comes out? Steven Spielberg has already bought the rights and every blonde in Hollywood is lining up to read for the parts.
If we go by age and hair color alone, we can see Jennifer Lawrence, Amanda Seyfried, Margot Robbie, or Emma Stone all going ga-ga for these roles.
The movie is still a ways off but you can pick up or download The Wife Between Us (St. Martin’s Press) on January 9th. You’ll come up for air on January 10th.
