Promising Young Woman

Carey Mulligan stars as Cassie in this thriller written and directed by Emerald Fennell (Killing Eve). The movie follows Cassie, whose life was abruptly derailed by a tragic incident, as she enacts vengeance against those who have wronged her. Promising Young Woman had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival. It is scheduled for release on July 17, 2020. 

Kajillionaire

Miranda July’s new movie follows two con artists and their daughter, whose lives are turned upside down when they invite a fourth person into their group to help them out with a big con. The film stars Evan Rachel Wood, Richard Jenkins, Debra Winger, Gina Rodriguez and Mark Ivanir. September 18, 2020, is its scheduled release date.

Come Play

In this horror film, a couple (Gillian Jacobs and John Gallagher Jr.) must fight to save their son Oliver (Azhy Robertson) when a monster, called Larry, escapes into the real world through the family’s smartphones. Timothy Olyphant and Bruce McGill also star in this film written and directed by Jacob Chase. It will be released on October 30, 2020.

Let Him Go

Kevin Costner and Diane Lane star in this drama as retired sheriff George Blackledge and his wife, Margaret. After their only son dies, they must work to rescue their grandson, who is taken captive by a dangerous off-the-grid family. The movie was written and directed by Thomas Bezucha. November 6, 2020, is the expected release date.

Stillwater

In this upcoming crime drama directed by Tom McCarthy, Matt Damon stars as Bill Baker, whose daughter Allison (Abigail Breslin) is convicted of a murder she did not commit. Bill takes it upon himself to do whatever it takes to prove his daughter’s innocence and get her out of jail. Stillwater is scheduled to come out November 6, 2020.

Last Night in Soho

This new movie from Edgar Wright stars Anya Taylor-Joy as a young woman who finds herself mysteriously transported to London’s Soho neighborhood of the 1960s. There, she comes face to face with her idol, but she soon realizes that 1960s London is not all it seems and something sinister is afoot. Last Night in Soho is scheduled to be released on April 23, 2021.
