The global pandemic has caused mass cancellations of live events all around the world. We’re heartbroken that some of our favorite artists have been postponed specific dates or entire tours for 2020.

We aren’t sure when we’ll be able to catch their shows in-person, but for now, we can watch some of our favorite clips of their previous live performances.

Here are our favorite live videos from nine artists who have cancelled or postponed tour dates this year:

BTS

K-pop’s biggest stars announced in late February that they would cancel the four opening shows of their Map of the Soul Tour, which were scheduled to take place in South Korea on April 12, 13, 18 and 19. This clip shows BTS performing their single “ON” in early March on the South Korean network SBS’ popular music program Inkigayo.

Post Malone

Post Malone is set to embark on his nearly Runaway Tour of arenas this year. So far, he has only cancelled the San Francisco show scheduled for March 19, but questions have been raised about additional future cancellations. In the included video, Post Malone performs “Circles” during an earlier show in the tour that took place in November 2019.

Tame Impala

After Tame Impala’s much anticipated return this year, he has also cancelled the San Francisco date of his tour supporting his new album The Slow Rush. Here’s a recording of Tame Impala performing “Breathe Deeper” on Jimmy Kimmel Live! just a few weeks ago.

Lana Del Rey

Lana Del Rey recently cancelled the entire UK and European leg of her Norman Fucking Rockwell! Tour. Ironically, it was not because of the coronavirus, but because of losing her voice. While the US leg is still on, we feel for our friends outside the states. The video we’ve included below shows her full set from the 2019 Lollapalooza festival.

Madonna

The final two shows of Madonna’s Madame X Tour in Paris were cancelled in early March. This recording shows Madonna and Maluma performing their single “Medellin,” the lead single for her latest album, at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards.

My Chemical Romance

Former emo kids around the world went wild when My Chemical Romance announced their return. Unfortunately, the group has cancelled and postponed tour dates in Japan, Australia and New Zealand. It’s been almost nine years since the group has toured, so we had to dig deep in the archives for this footage of their performance at the Reading Festival in 2011.

Billie Eilish

After optimistically only postponing the March dates of her WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO? Tour, Billie Eilish announced the postponement of the rest of the North America dates earlier this week. Here’s a video of her performing “bad guy” at Austin City Limits in January.

Sturgill Simpson

Though less of a superstar than many of the others on our list, tickets to Sturgill Simpson’s A Good Look’n Tour were in high demand. The unusual show included a screening of Simpson’s anime film that accompanied his new album SOUND & FURY. He’s postponed many of his North America tour dates for the health of both his fans and crew. In the video below, watch Simpson perform “Call To Arms” on Saturday Night Live in 2017.

Elton John

A portion of Elton John’s phenomenal farewell tour has been rescheduled for 2021. We found a recording of a John’s full concert from London in 2016, which features all the fan favorites like “Tiny Dancer,” “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road” and “Crocodile Rock.”
