Exquisite portraits of eccentric people
“To me, there is nothing richer than being allowed into an ordinary person’s life story,” says British photographer Adrian Buckmaster, whose skillful portraiture has been featured in magazines, advertising campaigns and in his first monograph, 2015’s An Embarrassment of Riches, which featured a diverse cross-section of everyday folks flaunting their gloriously quirky personalities. Buckmaster’s work is masterful at capturing soulful, unguarded moments as well as documenting how adept human beings can be at using fashion to create characters out of themselves. “I find inspiration everywhere,” says Buckmaster, who’s putting together a new book of photographs due out in 2017. “Just look up, down and around you.
