Beyond new TV series—the returning ones are also so worthy of your time, they deserve their own list. Here are some we’re excited about (and warning, while kept to a minimum and very broad, there still feels the need to issue a few spoiler alerts):

Dark Matter

Silicon Valley’s Russ Hanneman, Chris Diamatopoulos, joins Joel Edgerton, Jennifer Connelly and Alice Braga in this multiverse-hopping sci-fi thriller—taking “what if’s” to a truly terrifying, action-packed level. (Season 2, AppleTV, August 28)

Slow Horses

Led by Sir Gary Oldman, the crafty yet massively flawed spies of Slough House live to fight another day despite mounting obstacles. BAFTA-winning teen Lenny Rush is added to an already spectacular ensemble including Jack Bowden, Kristin Scott Thomas and Rosalind Eleazar. (Season 6, AppleTV, September 16)

Outlander: Blood of My Blood

Outlander may have followed Jamie and Claire’s epic time-traveling love story but the prequel returns to continue the tales of the romances of their parents, who go on quite the journey themselves. (Season 2, Starz, September 18)

Mobland

The absolutely badass and talented cast including Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren returns for more crime, more family tension and more power struggles in this London-set family crime drama. (Season 2, Paramount+, September 18)

Lupin

After a multi-year long break following the previous season, longtime fans were absolutely ecstatic to find out Omar Sy is returning as the French master criminal. If you haven’t, now is the perfect time to catch up and be ready to hop on the ride with gentleman-thief Assane Lupin. (Season 4, Netflix, October 23)

The Hunting Wives

After the first season of this deliciously soapy drama set the internet and general pop culture massively abuzz, the next season is already looking to build on that hype. Newly-released Barbie and WNBA All-Star Angel Reese is among those joining the series. (Season 2, Netflix, November 26, 2026)

The Gilded Age

Among those joining the Carrie Coon-led classy classist drama from the creator of Downton Abbey is Jim Gaffigan, playing President Grover Cleveland. The show, set in late 1800’s New York, has always wonderfully woven together real historical figures and fictional ones. (Season 4, HBOMax, November 1, 2026)
