It has been nearly two years since Game of Thrones came to an end. The epic fantasy series broke records and raised the bar. But where are some of the show’s leading men? We’ve rounded up a list of where you will see some of your favorites in new, exciting performances.

AIDEN GILLEN

Aiden Gillen, better known as Littlefinger, followed his Game of Thrones stint up with a recurring role on Peaky Blinders for three seasons. The actor has several projects ahead, including the film Those Who Wish Me Dead, which stars Angelina Jolie and Nicholas Hoult.

KIT HARINGTON

After marrying his co-star and on-screen love interest, Rose Leslie, Kit Harington (Jon Snow) has been taking it easy. Harington spent time in rehab and is now making his way back to acting. He was in the second season of Criminal: UK and will appear in the upcoming Marvel movie Eternals. The MCU ensemble film comes from Nomadland director Chloe Zhao. It also reunites him with another name on this list. Don’t worry — we’ll get to that later.

JACOB ANDERSON

If you’ve been looking for Jacob Anderson (Grey Worm) projects, you will have found none in film or TV. Instead, he has been focusing on his music. He returns to acting in the upcoming movie Timestalker, which is in the early phases.

NIKOLAJ COSTER-WALDAU

Danish actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau was our favorite as Jaime Lannister. Coster-Waldau has maintained his career, and his first film post-GoT was Brian de Palma’s Domino. Coster-Waldau is spending most of his time acting in Danish productions.

JEROME FLYNN

Jerome Flynn (Bronn) has done one project after Game of Thrones: a TV adaptation of The Dark Tower. Without new projects, we’ve been bingeing Ripper Street on Netflix.

RORY MCCANN

Ah, yes, The Hound. Rory McCann also hasn’t done much since his Game of Thrones run. He took a break for two years, but he’s now back in a new Netflix show called The Irregulars.

ALFIE ALLEN

Alfie Allen made a name for himself — and rightfully so considering he played Theon Greyjoy. Since 2019, Allen has starred in Hulu’s Harlots, Jojo Rabbit, and How To Build a Girl. He’s not stopping there, though, as he has four more projects in the works.

PETER DINKLAGE

Peter Dinklage
Peter Dinklage

Peter Dinklage was big before Game of Thrones, but his role as Tyrion Lannister elevated him to another level. His most recent show-stopping performance was in I Care A Lot starring Rosamund Pike. Dinklage is such a hot commodity that he has eight films in production.

RICHARD MADDEN

And, finally, we’ve come to our guy and pick for the next James Bond, Richard Madden. Because he played Robb Stark only during the first three seasons, he has been gone from Game of Thrones for much longer. He won a Golden Globe for his performance in the Netflix series Bodyguard. He then starred in Rocketman and 1917. One of his upcoming projects is, yes, you guessed it, Eternals. We can’t wait to watch the Stark brothers reunite.
