Lily James + Sebastian Stan In An Upcoming Series
If you’ve always wanted to watch a TV series about Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee’s leaked sex tape, then you’re in luck. Hulu greenlighted the series with Lily James and Sebastian Stan portraying the Baywatch actress and Mötley Crüe drummer.
The 8-episode limited series will dramatize Pam and Tommy’s rocky relationship, including stealing their sex tape by electrician Rand Gauthier. Seth Rogen will play that role.
Pam and Tommy met on New Year’s Eve in 1994, had their first date in Cancun, and were married 96 hours later, so their relationship was chaotic from the beginning. When it comes to the sex tape, Gauthier and a crew were hired to do some work on the house. Gauthier claims Tommy was rude and even pointed a shotgun at him. To take revenge, Gauthier stole a safe full of jewelry, money, and, of course, the sex tape.
Gauthier was familiar with the porn business, so he copied the tape, destroyed the original, and sold it for nearly $60. Yes, it was on VHS. There were no porn sites at this time. That led to a lawsuit, but nothing came of it.
So, yeah, we’re getting a TV show about the couple. James is nearly unrecognizable as Pam. As for Stan, you can still tell he’s in there, but with the success of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, we have a feeling he’ll reel in a different audience for this one. Also in the cast are Nick Offerman and Taylor Schilling.
