Warmer weather means bikini-clad women and shirtless men, but the big screen takes it a step further and eliminates all clothing. The summer has always been a time for moviegoers to see steamy films with our favorite actors. If you’re looking to escape the heat and watch a flick, these films will just make things hotter — but who’s to say that’s a bad thing?

THE SEVEN YEAR ITCH

If you need to scratch that itch for a true classic, you can’t go wrong with this Marilyn Monroe film. It gives way to that iconic moment where Monroe is standing over a subway grate as it goes by and sends the skirt of her dress flying. But that shouldn’t be the only reason you watch. The movie is filled with other scene-stealing moments from the coveted mistress.

DIRTY DANCING

Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze sweating and dancing in the summer sun while their bodies are so close they share a breath. Need we say more?

SUDDENLY, LAST SUMMER

Elizabeth Taylor is the queen of summer dramas. Though Suddenly, Last Summer is a little darker than the other films on our list, we can’t help but swoon every time Taylor appears on screen.

PAULINE AT THE BEACH

No summer movie watchlist is complete without a beach drama. The French film has intertwining love stories and plenty of beach shenanigans, so all you could ever want in a seasonal movie.

BODY HEAT

This 1981 film is one of the hottest movies you will ever see. It’s pegged as an erotic noir-thriller, which will suffice all of your movie needs. It takes place in a Florida heat wave, and the main character convinces her lover to kill her husband. So it is ample drama.
