Wake Up With Jennifer And Reese
AppleTV+ will start its streaming service with a big hitter in The Morning Show — and we could not be more excited. The next streaming giant dropped a trailer for the series, bringing out some of the biggest names in the industry.
Those names, you ask? Jennifer Aniston. Reese Witherspoon. Steve Carrell. Yes, yes and yes. Reese is even sporting a new hair do. Maybe she needed to reinvent herself after that Big Little Lies season two finale. As for Jen, she is looking extra gorgeous as her breakout hit Friends celebrates 25 years.
In this series, Jen stars as the protagonist, a morning show host whose co-anchor (Carrell) loses his job because of sexual harassment allegations. Wow, doesn’t that sound like the incident that happened with Matt Lauer? It becomes even more like Matt’s arc on the Today show when the network wants to hire the spunky Reese. Jen feels a touch nervous about her thunder being stolen, but tbh we can’t wait to see them side by side.
Carrell has been making strides in his career by moving toward more artsy films and series. He’s not just a Michael Scott. He has so many dimensions, and we can’t wait to see what he can bring to this role.
But the big winner with this show is AppleTV+. This series is bound to set the tone for the new platform, and it looks like it will be an unexpected but welcomed one. Hey, Apple: Sign us up!
