THE UNFORGIVABLE

Sandra Bullock is a powerhouse and she’s serving up another gutpunch of a performance for Netflix. She portrays a woman who committed a violent crime and attempts to re-enter society. She learns quickly that people aren’t out to forgive her, so she sets out to find the younger sister she raised before imprisonment. Viola Davis also stars in the film.

SUCCESSION SEASON 3 FINALE

HBO”s Succession season 3 has been a wild ride and it comes to its conclusion this weekend. Last we saw, the Roys were in Tuscany for their mom’s wedding. But the penultimate episode ended with Kendall Roy laying face-down on a pool floaty with bubbles coming out of his mouth. Perhaps it’s a red herring. Maybe Kendall is really drowning. If we’ve learned anything from The New Yorker profile about Jeremy Strong (who plays Kendall) it’s that this role is incredibly serious. Let’s hope he makes it out alive.

KEN AND BARBIE KILLERS: THE LOST MURDER TAPES

If you have Discovery+ or the Discovery channel, fire it up on Sunday and Monday to watch Ken and Barbie Killers: The Lost Murder Tapes. It takes an unseen approach to the infamous self-obsessed series killers. The craziest part of it all is that the killers videotaped some of it. You won’t believe what you see.

MOTHER/ANDROID

A horror movie in the middle of December? Yes, please. Chloë Grace Moretz and Algee Smith star as a couple on the run during an android uprising. The AI were a source of help before they turned on them. Now, they must travel through the most dangerous part of the country to reach Boston days before their child is due. Boot up Hulu to watch.

THE EXPANSE SEASON 6

The Expanse is one of the most underrated series — and it’s coming to an end. The Amazon Prime series will go out with season 6 and it’s sure to be a doozy. But, instead of going out with a major bang, it’s sticking to what it knows best. It’s a wonderful finale to an amazing sci-fi adventure.

WEST SIDE STORY

If you’re willing to venture outside and to a movie theater, check out Steven Spielberg’s remake of West Side Story. Starring newcomer Rachel Zegler and Ansel Elgort, the musical will captivate you — even if you’re not a musical person.
