THE BEATLES: GET BACK

Peter Jackson’s three-part documentary about the recording and impromptu performance of The Beatles’ last album is the hottest thing to watch this weekend. The doc is composed of 6 hours of unseen footage. It’s a family affair series that you won’t want to miss on Disney+.

BRUISED

Halle Berry not only stars in this movie — she also directs it. Bruised, available on Netflix, follows a boxer. She wants to get her life back and connect with her family. It feels like not enough people are talking about this film, so PROVOKRs need to stir up the buzz.

HAWKEYE

Jeremy Renner is back as Hawkeye, and this time he is joined by Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop, who takes on the Hawkeye role in the Marvel Comics project. The trailer looks a little cheesy, but our favorite, Florence Pugh, reprises her role as Yelena Belova. Watch it on Disney+.

THE HOT ZONE: ANTHRAX

Season 2 of The Hot Zone from National Geographic follows the real-life events of an anthrax terrorist attack just weeks after 9/11. Daniel Dae Kim and Tony Goldwyn lead the thrilling and terrifying series.

DIG DEEPER: THE DISAPPEARANCE OF BIRGIT MEIER

What’s a holiday weekend without a little true crime? Dig Deeper: The Disappearance Of Birgit Meier highlights the police’s missteps in the famed 1989 case and puts her brother’s quest for truth at the center.

LIGHT THE NIGHT

The international series on Netflix is hot right now. Light The Night is about the red light district in 1980s Taipei. It centers on one club and its patrons.

HANNA SEASON 3

Amazon Prime’s adaptation of Hanna is coming to an end with season 3. For the finale, it goes even more international as Hanna’s mission to uncover what’s happening comes to a close.

YELLOWSTONE

Yellowstone has been an acclaimed hit for multiple seasons and streams on Paramount+, but we have a good reason to recommend it to you now. This year, it’s a prequel with none other than country singer Tim McGraw. So, there’s your excuse to rewatch the entire series and stay up-to-date with season 4.

LICORICE PIZZA

If you’re looking to leave the house and go to a theater, we have two recommendations for you. The first is Licorice Pizza. Paul Thomas Anderson’s latest feature film follows a character, played by Phillip Seymour Hoffman’s son, who grows up in Hollywood. Along the way, he befriends a woman, played by Alana Haim. It’s hailed as one of the best films of the year.

HOUSE OF GUCCI

And then there’s the House of Gucci. The Ridley Scott film stars Lady Gaga and Adam Driver as Patrizia and Maurizio Gucci of the acclaimed fashion family. It also features Al Pacino, Jeremy Irons, Jared Leto, and Salma Hayek.
