THE NORTHMAN SEEKS REVENGE

January is usually a dumping ground for movies that Hollywood studios don’t have much faith in. As a result, the early part of the year is usually when mediocre or average films are released. However, this is not the case with Robert Egger’s new film, The Northman, which is scheduled to be released this Spring. If you are waiting for the right film to watch in theaters, then look no further than Robert Eggers’ The Northman.
The film stars Alexander Skarsgård as a Viking prince on a quest for revenge. In the trailer below, we see his father and mother are killed forcing him to run away from home as a child. When he becomes older, he seeks to take back the throne that was stolen from him. Along the way, will be joined by Anya Taylor-Joy’s Olga in a supporting role as well as Nicole Kidman, Ethan Hawke, and Willem Dafoe. Singer Björk will also have a role in the upcoming film.
This will be Robert Eggers’ follow-up to 2019’s The Lighthouse which earned high praise from both fans and critics. The Northman will be released in theaters on April 22. Too many Hollywood movies rely on the same genres. So, It’s refreshing to see a unique film like this Viking epic and with such a star studded cast!
