House of Gucci Update
New Trailer, Gaga Sings, Patrizia Gucci's Review

“House of Gucci” is set to be one of the year’s biggest Oscar contenders. The movie tells the real-life story of Patrizia Reggiani, who was convicted for orchestrating the killing of ex-husband and head of Gucci, Maurizio Gucci.
Directed by Ridley Scott, the movie boasts an all-star cast: Adam Driver, Lady Gaga and Al Pacino, to name a few.
The movie is based on the Sara Gay Forden book “The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed.” It’s Scott’s second movie out this year, along with “The Last Duel,” which is still in theaters.

While the movie was made in cooperation with the Gucci fashion house, the Gucci family itself is not pleased.
Patrizia Gucci, the great-granddaughter of house founder Guccio Gucci, released a statement slamming the film: “We are truly disappointed. I speak on behalf of the family,” Gucci said. “They are stealing the identity of a family to make a profit, to increase the income of the Hollywood system….Our family has an identity, privacy. We can talk about everything. But there is a borderline that cannot be crossed.”

Fans are especially excited for the movie’s soundtrack. The official tracklist hasn’t been released yet, but both trailers have boasted 80s hits: “Heart of Glass” by Blondie and “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)” by Eurythmics, respectively. Rumor is that Gaga will have a song too.
Some are even creating their own “soundtracks” on Spotify, with songs that they think match the vibe of the movie – think “Fashion” by David Bowie and “Back To Black” by Amy Winehouse.
“House of Gucci” will hit theaters November 24. Check out the latest trailer here!
