October is finally here, which means fall TV is in full force. Streaming is offering up a ton of binge-worthy shows to keep you company as the temperature starts to drop and the leaves begin to fall. So grab whoever is near you, pour yourself a hot glass of apple cider and get to watching these shows in October:

WATCHMEN

What if superheroes weren’t celebrated? Well, that’s the premise of the Regina King-led HBO series Watchmen. The show is based on the graphic novel of the same name, which also had a terrible 2009 film. It’s finally getting the series glow up it deserves, and we could not be more excited to see this provocative take on the superhero genre.

MRS. FLETCHER

Kathryn Hahn finally gets a show that puts her in the center of everything. She plays Eve Fletcher, a woman whose son goes off to college and leaves her an empty-nester. With her newfound freedom, she uses the internet to dabble in porn and hookups. Meanwhile, her son is finding it hard to be who he was in high school in college. Gotta love adulthood.

LIVING UNDOCUMENTED

Selena Gomez produces this 8-part Netflix documentary that focuses on immigrant families who face deportation. Each episode follows a different family and humanizes the stringent policies enacted by the Trump administration. From the removal of DACA to building the wall, these stories will serve as a snapshot of what America was like in a time when morality was thrown out the proverbial window.

THE LAUNDROMAT

Meryl Streep stars in this Netflix Original– wait, wait, wait. Meryl Streep? On Netflix? What? Yes, you definitely read that right. She plays a woman investigating insurance fraud and enlists the help of two people who know how to work the system. They’re played by Gary Oldman and Antonio Banderas, further enforcing the fact we’re living in an alternate univirse where big-name actors favor streaming platforms.

LOOKING FOR ALASKA

John Green’s debut novel is finally getting the series treatment on Hulu. The 8-episode narrative is based on the novel by the same name. It has taken years to get this deal sorted out, and it is surely going to drive a huge viewership. The boarding school drama tackles tough issues teenagers face every day. If you haven’t read the novel, you still have time before it premieres Oct. 18.

MODERN LOVE

If you’ve made a really successful podcast in recent years, there’s a good chance you could get a TV series out of it. The New York Times’ famous “Modern Love” is now an anthology series on Amazon. Each episode is a different story, just like the podcast. But you’re not going to believe this cast: Anne Hathaway, Dev Patel and Tina Fey lead it, but there are so many more exciting cameos. Definitely tune in to find out.
