NEW BLOOD 4 TRUE BLOOD
2022: Vamps Return. Thirsty? 2 Great Videos
Renewed interest in HBO’s True Blood has grown since earlier this year when HBO’s Chief Content Officer Casey Bloys confirmed a reboot was in the works.
After 7 seasons and a 7 year hiatus, the project’s lineup is rumored to include co-writers Robert Aguirre (“Riverdale”, “The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”) and Jami O’Brien (“NOS4A2”, “Hell on Wheels”), as well as original series creator Alan Ball (“American Beauty”, “Six Feet Under”) returning in his role as executive producer.
Subsequent news, however, which hinted at Ball’s lack of interest in once again treading the familiar territory of Charlaine Harris’ Bon Temps, Louisiana, has all but ended speculation of his attachment to the project.
While not much has materialized since about the fate of the Emmy Awards-winning show, original cast members Anna Paquin (Sookie Stackhouse) and Stephen Moyer (Bill Compton) have expressed interest in joining the series reboot.
In a recent interview, Paquin (“The Piano”, “X-Men”) reminisced:
“[Being on True Blood” was one of the greatest experiences of my life. If there was a way for any of our original True Blood family to come back together, i’m sure all of us would be in, in some way.”
True Blood starred Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer, Alexander Skarsgard (“Big Little Lies”, “The Little Drummer Girl”), Joe Manganiello (“Zack Snyder’s Justice League”, “Magic Mike XXL”), Sam Trammell (“The Fault In Our Stars”, “Homeland”) Ryan Kwanten (“Dead Silence”, “Them”), and more.
Seasons 1-7 are currently streaming on HBO & Amazon. In the meantime, check out the trailer and Eric and Sookie’s Love Scenes in Season 4 below.
