American indie rock band Big Thief are set to release their fifth studio album next month. “Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe In You” will arrive February 11, and fans are excited about the new music.

The album, recorded in four different locations across the US, is expected to be a double-album with 20 tracks. The group has already released a handful of singles, including “Little Things,” “Change,” “Certainty,” and “No Reason.”

Big Thief also has plans to tour but, like most acts these days, they have to put their plans on hold. The tour was set to begin at the end of January in France, but the group rescheduled. Now, the tour will start in February in Manchester, taking the group through Europe and across America.

The new music sees the band explore unexpected sounds. “Maybe I’m delusional, but I don’t think we’ve ever made anything because someone else expected us to. If anything, it’s the opposite,” guitar player Buck Meek said in an interview with The Guardian. “You write the songs because it’s a form of survival.”

The group said that their music is constantly evolving, and even compared their creative process to “an improv skit,” said drummer James Krivchenia. “Saying no…kills the skit.”

“And, suddenly,” Adrianne Lenker, guitar player and lead vocalist, added. “You’re creating something.”
