CHOSEN (NETFLIX)

We’ve established many times that Netflix’s international offerings are among the best on any streaming platform. So it should keep the streak alive with Denmark’s Chosen. The sci-fi series follows a group discovering meteor signs of extraterrestrial life.

IN FROM THE COLD (NETFLIX)

Nothing is better than an international spy thriller — and this time, it’s an American single mom at the forefront. The FBI arrests the New Jersey suburbanite and uncovers her past as a former Russian spy. They then tap her to dismantle an underground Russian tech world. At risk is the life she’s built for herself.

THE WOMAN IN THE HOUSE ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE GIRL IN THE WINDOW (NETFLIX)

If you’re looking for the perfect spoof series, The Woman In The House Across The Street From The Girl In The Window is the obvious choice (but good luck remembering its name.) Kristen Bell portrays the central figure who is caught in this psychological thriller. But, of course, no one does parody better than Bell, so this is a must-watch.

NEEDLE IN A TIMESTACK (AMAZON PRIME)

This one is for those looking for a bit of love on their weekends. This film from 2021 is being re-released on Amazon Prime. It involves time travel and romance: two things that go well together. It stars Cynthia Erivo, Leslie Odom, Jr., and Orlando Bloom.

GOMORRAH SEASON 5 (HBO MAX)

Finally, Gomorrah arrives on HBO Max. The Italian crime drama wrapped up its final season last year, and it’s coming to the U.S. with HBO gaining exclusive rights. That means you can go back and watch the other seasons. We highly recommend this for fans of Narcos and The Sopranos.

BILLIONS SEASON 6 (SHOWTIME)

Billions is back, baby — but without one of its lead characters. With Damien Lewis out, the series is doing a hard reset and going back to its original format: a billionaire vs. a prosecutor. Gone are the corporate feuds of the last few seasons. Instead, Paul Giamatti returns for a killer season.
