The career of a Hollywood actor is not an easy path to travel. Along the way, there will be so many people telling you no and rejecting you but you can persevere if you work hard and stay consistent. This is a great description of actor Charlie Hunnam. Hunnam began his career by appearing on the show My Wonderful Life. At age 18, he appeared on the show Byker Grove in 1998. From there, he started to receive roles more consistently.

In 1999, he appeared in the film Whatever Happened to Harold Smith. That same year he received his first recurring role on a TV show as starred in the U.K. series Queer as Folk. After the show ended in 2000, he got another TV role on the series Young Americans. His next TV role after this one came in 2003 on the show Undeclared. In 2006, Hunam appeared in the highly-rated film Children of Men.

After this film, he was cast as the main character of Sons of Anarchy, one of the most popular shows of all time. By 2014, he was already a household name thanks to his role on it and his starring role in 2014’s Pacific Rim directed by Guillermo del Toro. After Sons of Anarchy ended, Hunnam stuck to movie roles. Guillermo Del Toro would also cast him in his 2015 film Crimson Peak.

Between 2016 and 2021, he starred in films such as The Lost City of Z, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, Triple Frontier, and The Gentlemen. Currently, Hunnam is filming his return to television as he will star in the Apple TV+ series Shantaram. The series began filming in 2019 but has been repeatedly put on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic. It isn’t known when filming will be finished.

Opening on February 4th is the film Last Looks about a disgraced cop(Hunnam) who becomes entangled in a mysterious thriller. You can watch the trailer below. Looks like a perfect role for Mr. Hunnam.

Charlie Hunnam has had a very long career and shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon. He’s remained consistent by appearing in films and sometimes TV series but is careful about which ones he chooses. With this attitude, he may be remembered as one of the Hollywood greats.
